If these two requirements are not met on the part of the government, customs unionists warn that how tomorrow they can enter a general strike.
They demand changing the amendment to the law on wages, as in their opinion Dogana must be protected by special law as well as not given wages.
The chairman of this union, Ali Vitija, said they require rank like police and AKI, which are handled by special law.
“Today we've been warning a strike for two hours, but because of communication, we've been pushing for tomorrow until we get an answer from the Government. We're with 570 employees, we've got a lot of cases over these years. Customs officials are 24 hours on official duty working over and over again. We ask for our wages don't get touched. The current cofficient touches them by lowering”, he said.
While Zivere Badmezi, a member of the leadership, indicated that the strike had been the previous one for today, but said they have left space for communication in order to observe their demands.
“In the meeting held yesterday, it has been decided that in case we don't observe our demands, we have warned today of the strike which had to happen at all border points and internal offices, but we postponed it after we received information and promises that Minister Bedri Hamza will consider our demands and that we have left space until 12” tomorrow, she said.
