Analyst Ilir Demalia supports Albania's president, Ilir Meta,'s decision not to fire Ditmir Busat as foreign affairs minister.

Demalia views Gent Cakaj's candidacy for the post with scepticism.

In a connection to Skype for the Ora News news studio, Demalia says his candidacy should be stripped of patriotic folklore.

The problem at Cakaj, Demalia does not link with being from Kosovo, but with his lack of experience in the diplomatic field.

For Demaliyaj, Rama, if it were serious in this part, he could have run Veton Surroi, an honorable and well-known figure in European Chancellors, writes Oranews.

Even in the pre-war time you had dignified people representing Albanian diplomacy. We're in a serious crisis. Meta did well not to accept this candidacy. Our patriotic folklore has put it too much into the patriotism plan. If Prime Minister Rama were serious and wanted to impose an candidacy from Kosovo as a national response to all Albanians, then he had a very honourable figure who knows him, and in European Chancellors, he had Veton Surroi. A man who would honor the Albanian state and Kosovo. But not a kid who doesn't know anybody”, Demalia said.

He says Albanian diplomacy is in crisis. The cause is found in intellectual and governing anthropy.

You haven't managed today to have a diplomatic figure in the most powerful state of the world, not only haven't you arrived, but you're too far away, that you've had in the bird time that we're going through that time. You had the Faith Conica honoring Albania. You're behind figures, intellectual personalities you don't have today. Not only are you not, but you don't raise your voice. It doesn't sound like Ismail Kadare because his daughter is Albania's ambassador to the United Nations Organisation. For what reason, what is her diplomatic career? This intellectual and governing class anthropist has brought Albania to this point”, he has stressed.
