Through a post on his “page Facebook”, head of state as he wishes success in the exercise that has started for the “Tokio 2020”, expresses confidence that they will raise Kosovo's flag too high.
Meta says among other things that Majlinda, Distria, Nora, Erza, Achilles, the tip of many other athletes are a prideary motive and a model of success and inspiration for children and all young Albanians.
“A warm meeting with the pride of Albanian sports, Majlinda Kelmendi and jungle champions from Kosovo, Shpat Zeka, Erza Muminovic and Akil Gjakova, and their well-known coach Driton Kuka, excellent ambassadors of the best human and sports values of the Albanian nation in the world.
I wished many successes in the exercise that they have launched for the “Tokio 2020”, faithful that they will manage to lift up the Kosovo flag.

Insport reports that Ilir Meta was a successful weightlifter in Albania and committed to political support for athletes in the years as he held very important positions in Albanian politics.
