911 People have applied for retirement as victims of Kosovo's sex violence

The application for recognition of the status of victims of sexual violence during the war has started since February 22nd last year. Minister of Labour and Social Management in the Government of Kosovo Skender Recica has announced that 911 persons have submitted pension applications, claiming to be victims of sexual violence during the recent conflict in Kosovo, which includes the 1998-1999 period.
So far, 190 people are recognised as the status of the victim of sexual violence, while another 119 apps have been rejected and their revaluation expected in the second degree.
Other applications are said to be screening procedure.
The application process for verifying the status of persons violated during the recent war in Kosovo has started in February of last year.
Under law in effect, this category benefits personal profitabilitys of 230 euros a month.
