Vetevendosje distanced by its member who was arrested for drug trafficking

The Vetevendosje movement has reacted after the arrest of Redyeart Cankyaj, who is also the chairman of the Council of the Vetevendosje Movement Centre in Belgium. “Today, suddenly, we learned from the media that Redyeart Cankya was arrested by France police on a drug trafficking charge after being found hidden in the car she was [...]
Today, we learned from the media that Reditt Cank has been arrested by France police on the drug trafficking charge, having been found hidden in the car traveling with another citizen, three kilos of heroin. The news has shocked us as Rediort Cankya has worked as an interpreter for several languages in Belgium's Integration Agency as well as the Belgium police. He has conducted university studies and is married and has lived in Belgium regularly. Moreover, Rediort Cankya has been a member of the City Board of “Antwerp” of one of Belgium's parliamentary parties, as well as candidate for municipal counsel at “Antwerp””, says the VV response.
In response, it is said that of all the information they had, Rediart Cankya, had a life and a fair profession, and applied and was member of the Vetevendosje Movement last year.
“Taking into account its academic formation and professional experience with Belgian authorities, members of the Movement have entrusted him with the position of chairman of the Council of the Vetevendosje Centre, Belgium. So today's news of his arrest has shocked us all. Even Belgian media have reported publicly that Reditt Cankaj's profile has nothing to do with such activities as traffic, and that it is expected to explain the circumstances of his trip to the car that has been found on drugs”, it is said in response.
However, after reporting by the media and consulting with representatives of the Centre in Belgium, the Vetevendosje Movement Disciplinary Commission has launched the procedure today for review of the Reditart Cankaj case and has made unanimous decision to suspend its membership and engagement in the Vetevendosje Movement.
The disciplinary Commission will await the Court's decision to review the disciplinary measures of exclusion regarding this case. The Vetevendosje movement distances and strongly condemns any illegal activity related to the case in question, and will not tolerate any behavior related to similar activities”, the Vetevendosje Movement's response is said to end.
