If you're single, you're likely to have stronger social connections. Marriage can limit people in terms of social relationships, and it is not always the happy ending we expect at the beginning.
This is the conclusion of a study conducted in 2015, published in the Journal of Social and Personal Relations.
“Single individuals are more likely to stay in touch, provide help from parents, sisters, brothers, neighbors or friends than married couples”, the study says.
The study revealed that being unannounced in a marriage relationship allows for room for social connection between males and females.
Researchers have concluded that instead of promoting marriage, public policies should know the social restrictions related to marriage and keep in mind that single people have greater community involvement
The study, conducted in 2015, turned to attention because of a discussion at TEDx in May 2017, during which Bella DePaulo argued that society often underestimates the lives, relationships, and history of single people. (TemA TV)
