Judith Ackers, a bed specialist at Land of Birds, said:

During the summer, maybe you should wash your bed more often than you're doing now. When the weather gets warmer, we recommend that sheets be washed at least once a week. If you sweat too much at night or suffer from allergies, washing twice a week can make a big difference. The expert added:

The corchafs you use during the summer work more than usual and need little more attention to remain fresh. Washing them at 30 °C can make them look clean, but does not completely remove the sweat and fat accumulated.

We recommend washing at 40 °C. If the sheet material allows it to wash at 60 °C from time to time to eliminate bacteria and powder spiders. Always check the product label before washing so as not to damage material”.

Although some detergents are effective even at lower temperatures - even 20 °C - this is not recommended for articles like sheets and towels.
