We have had the opportunity and honour to welcome our brothers who are political representatives of Serbs living in Montenegro. We are especially pleased that we have received strong support and encouragement in these difficult and historical moments”, Rakiq said, broadcasts the news.net.
Political representatives of the Serbian people in Montenegro have announced the collection of signatures in the petition to withdraw the Montenegrin authorities' decision to recognise Kosovo, stressing that most residents in Montenegro have opposed Kosovo's declaration of independence.
The chairman of the Democratic People's Party in Montenegro, Knezevic, has said more than 50,000 signatures must be collected so that this initiative is presented to the Montenegro Assembly.
Rakiq, meanwhile, has said Serbs receive support, confidence and encouragement from Serbia's president, Aleksandar Vuciq
