In a new study, it has been said that robots will perform more than “half of the current jobs at” by 2025.
In a World Economic Forum report, presented on 17 September, it is estimated that 52 per cent of all tasks -- almost double the current rate -- will be completed by vehicles.
“by 2025 more than half of the work tasks will be carried out by equipment, compared to the current rate of 29 per cent”, the Swiss-based non-governmental organisation has said.
In the report titled, the Future of the Workplaces 2018, the organisation said it considers that robots will replace people in the client management sector, accounting, mail and industrial ones.
At the same time, the report said there would be an increase in demand for jobs that require <x0 human rehabilitation”, such as sales, marketing, consumer services, along with those related to online sales and social networks.
According to the report, the key challenge will be in the training phase of workers, especially in the field of <x0-creativeity, critical thought and determination”.
Governments are advised in these findings to prepare workers at risk of what are considered “major changes” in the quality and continuation of jobs.
