The mayor of the Bujanoc municipality, Shaip Kamberi, has hosted the Vetvendosje Movement MP Libun Aliu at the meeting today. Kamberi at a media conference said they have also talked about the initiative to put the issue of uniting the Presevo Valley with Kosovo in Brussels.
The “showed that we are for the idea of joining by respecting the 92nd referendum that we demand that territorial integrity in this aspect of the Presevo Valley should certainly be preserved. No other option meaning violation of the interests of the Albanian population can have our support”, Kamberi said.
He added that he has asked MP Aliu to support both Vetevendosje and the political spectrum in Kosovo.
While, Libun Aliu said the VV's position is that the issue of Albanians in the Presevo Valley is a condition for talks with Serbia in Brussels.
There would be no meaning to any kind of conversation without reciprocity being established on the issue of Albanian rights in Medvedja, Bujanovac and Presevo. We also support the position of the leaders of these municipalities not to have their split”, he said.
According to Aliu, the Vetevendosje Movement does not agree with Kosovo's existing borders.
We ask Thaci to make concrete agreements with representatives of the three municipalities so that we can all be clear about what the president is saying. The Vetevendosje movement does not agree with the existing borders that are, that these are drawn by others without the political will of Albanians. The injustices that have been done in history must be changed and corrected”, he said.
