Although some previous studies have shown a link between lonely people and premature deaths, a new analysis shows conglomeration amid loneliness with an increase in risk of coronary heart disease and stroke.
The auditing of 23 studies with 181,000 patients has shown that those with poor social connections, isolation and loneliness have a 29% higher risk of coronary heart disease and a 32% higher risk of stroke.
