Isa Mustafa addresses letter to Merkel and EU leaders: Border Touch, Danger for entire Balkans

The chairman of the Democratic League of Kosovo, Isa Mustafa, has written letters to German Chancellor Angela Merkel, but also to the foreign ministers of all EU member states who have announced them with the current situation in the country and with the LDK's stance on these events. Mustafa says to have shown his grief and [...]

Mustafa says he has demonstrated his and his party's concern about dialogue with Serbia, which, he says, should be guided “by institutions that have political and constitutional legitimacy”.

“As LDK chairman, I have written to German Chancellor Angela Merkel and the foreign ministers of the 28 European Union countries. LDK leader Mustafa has shown European leaders that his party, as far as leading the Government, “has worked devotedly in meeting all criteria for visa liberalisation, and this year, even though in opposition, its MPs have voted the demarcation of the border with Montenegro, so that the visa liberalisation process can move forward”.

I took advantage of the case, as well, to seek the continued support of every EU country in this process, stressing the conviction that it is unfair that our citizens remain further excluded from the free visa regime”, Mustafa stressed.

Meanwhile, he finally said a similar letter had previously been forwarded to European People's Party Chairman Joseph Daul.
