Four candidates had met the criteria for being elected to the position of board chairman of the Energy Regulatory Office (ZRRE). But the Kosovo government has decided to send only two of them to the site, removing the candidate by most points, according to the British Embassy's ranking in Kosovo, which has agreements with the Government on the appointment of loan people to high positions, writes Koha Ditore today.
In the communique of July 24th, the prime minister's office had announced that at the meeting on the same day, the government cabinet has approved four candidates for the position, listed in accordance with the points: Fadil Ismaili, Petit Pepaj, Progress Kabashi and Bekim Jakupi. However, in the decision issued by the Government, proposed for the chairmanship of the ZERE Board, there are only Petit Pepaj and Bekim Jakupi.
Such a decision has prompted the parliamentary Commission for Economic Development not to proceed with voting proposals at the session. MPs making up this commission have requested additional clarification from the prime minister's office why the two candidates have been removed from the list.
