The member of the United States House of Representatives of Congress, simultaneously a senior member of the institution's Foreign Affairs Commission, Eliot Engel, has sharply criticised Serbia's president, Aleksandar Vuciq.
The American Democrat politician has reacted to the head of the Serbian state, following statements he made during his visit to Kosovo on the weekend we left behind.
Serbia's president has praised former Yugoslav dictator Slobodan Milosevic, as he spoke to a crowd in northern Mitrovica.
Engel has said that Vuciq “should stop giving controversial statements”.
“You cannot call for peace and reconciliation in Kosovo, while at the same time praising Slobodan Milosevic, who was responsible for the deaths of tens of thousands of people”, has declared Engel.
