Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, Cameron Gashi, hosted today's head of the State Archives Agency Rame Manaj, with which he signed a memorandum for financial support regarding archive development and digitisation of documents.
According to the ministry, the memorandum will be implemented during 2018, for which the MKRS will invest 8 thousand euros in financial value.
“The purpose of this memorandum is to create electronic documents and apply contemporary norms for further development of archive activity. Also, this project will support the establishment and skills of the professional archive framework engaged in the State Archives Agency, but also of the archive framework in inter-communal archives. Where activity, however, has full support in the Law for State Archives and International Archives Standards. Minister Gashi has estimated that with the signing of this memorandum, further support has been continued for the most important institution of preservation and protection of state documents, which remain as history to generations coming to”, the MKRS communiqué said.
Meanwhile, the head of the State Archives Agency, Manaj, thanked the minister for the support he is giving to the institution he heads and to place him in the ministry's priorities.
