Delawi: Politicians to Stay Out of Trial

In a farewell reception organised by Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj and Prime Minister Kadri Veselini, the US diplomat said he is leaving Kosovo with mixed feelings, but expects to hear good news for Kosovo in the future.
I have to say I have mixed feelings. I'm glad I'm going to Kosovo, but I'm sorry to be leaving Kosovo... Politicians stay out of court. The obstacles in these areas could be a major problem for Kosovo's future...”, Delawi said.
Kosovo President Hashim Thaci has praised the role of Greg Delaway during the time he served as an American diplomat in our country, working together in the progress and the various challenges our country faces.
Kosovo Parliament Speaker Kadri Veseline has talked about his work experience with Greg Delawi during the time the US ambassador served at the helm of the US mission in our country, saying he has done a tremendous job in deepening Kosovo- USA.
While, Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj in his English-language speech stressed that Ambassador Delawi has joined tonight all communities in Kosovo who are participating in the reception organised on the occasion of completing his mandate in Kosovo.

Otherwise, Greg Delawi started working as ambassador in 2015 was nominated by former President Barack Obama in 2015 for new US ambassador to Kosovo.
In his early service at the State Department, he served in Ankara, Germany, Frankfurt, and other tasks also include officials in Washington for the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development. He has also worked on human resources and aviation safety policy.
From 1994 to 1996, Delaway has been deputy chief of the Business and Business Affairs Division. He then went to the American Embassy in Rome, to the quality of the adviser for the economy. Afterward, Delaway returned to Washington where he worked at the Human Resources Bureau, and in June 2001 he was appointed director of the office's Co-ordination Office, which he held until July 2003.
Delawie went abroad in August 2004, where he took up the post of deputy mission chief in Zagreb, Croatia. In August 2007 he returned to the US and took the post of director of the Bureau for Bileral Trade Affairs to the Bureau for Economic and Business Affairs office, as well as director of Trade Policy and Programmes. It also promoted the Free Trade Agreement with South Korea, Colombia and Panama.
Otherwise, instead of Delaway, Philip S. Costett, the new US ambassador to Pristina, who has been working as in charge of temporary work at the US Embassy in Ankara. He has also served as deputy head of the American Mission in Uzbekistan and Iceland. He has also been engaged in various political, military and economic positions during his career in Afghanistan, Iraq, Kosovo, the Netherlands and Japan.
The new US ambassador to Kosovo has been engaged in the State Department Office for Europe against terrorism, political-military, Intelligence and Research.
Greg Delaway's successor in Pristina is a graduate of Harvard University. He has been honoured at 10 State Department awards, has received the Medal of the Office of Foreign Civil Service Defence and the Medal of the Great Civil Service Department.
