Scientists have identified the gene that affects our desire to drink a certain amount of coffee.
Study results published in “magazine Scientific reports” and they find that people with variations of genes in DNA such as PDSS2 tend to drink less coffee compared to those who have no version of genes, transmit Kosovas.
This gene can reduce the ability of cells to absorb caffeine by keeping it longer in the body and thus reduce the amount of coffee as a need for organization.
The lead author of the study, Nikola Pirastou, from the Institute at the University of Edinburgh, said the results suggest that the desire for specific coffee consumption is built on our genes.
Researchers say this is an interesting discovery, but additional studies are needed to confirm the results and explain the biological link between PPS2 and the desire for coffee.
