Nicklas Bendtner was arrested this morning after punching a taxi driver.
The former Arsenal assailant, who now plays for Rosenborg, is understood to have been in Copenhagen on Saturday evening.
The Danish newspaper Ekstra Bldett says Bendtner was charged by police for beating.
A company spokesman, Dan Taxi, spoke of the newspaper acknowledging that Bendtner attacked their worker.
“It's the name (Bendner) that the driver reported. Episode happened to cab company employees”.
