39-year-old Ilirjan Tanko was arrested after being detained while driving.
Six years ago, at the time of 33 years, the gang held the accountant and his wife hostage for about 10 hours.
The gang was run by an Italian and part of it were two other Italians and three Albanians -- among them Iliryan, who has been sentenced in absentia to four years and four months in prison for the hostage-taking and attempted fraud of Berlusconi.
During the kidnapping of accountant and his wife, the gang demanded 35m euros from Brlukson, otherwise his trusted man would be killed and documents they claimed to have in their hands regarding some political scandals were published.
But Berlusconi's trusted and his wife were released and blackmailing with documents resulted in a bluff, while the former prime minister did not fall prey to him.
