The US has sought release of citizens held in Turkey, including Gospel Minister Andrew Brunson and have imposed sanctions on two Turkish diplomats and tariffs for metal imports from Turkey, writes BW.
Turkey has retaliated with similar measures.
Turkish liras had a significant decline in recent weeks as a result of the situation.
