Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj is claiming that the case “Blakaj” will undermine the visa liberalisation process with the EU, as the resigned prosecutor is accusing the justice system in the country. On the other hand, connoisseurs of the integration process and political analysts estimate that the very tough statements by institutional leaders against Blakaj harm the visa process, writes the newspaper “Zri”
The special prosecutor's resignation, Elez Blakaj, clearly testifies that the justice system continues to be self-aware of politics and not independent. Thus, they estimate connoisseurs of political issues, who say recent developments about the “Blaxaj” could also harm the visa liberalisation process.
But while Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj directly accuses Blakaj of undermining liberalisation, connoisseurs of the integration process and political analysts consider that exactly the tough statements by institutional leaders against Blakaj undermine the visa process.
According to them, the reactions of political leaders in the form of intimidation against the retired prosecutor and the Prosecutor in general affect not only the visa issue, but also the process of integration into the European Union (BE).
