Serbs say through Weiman control all of Kosovo

The Serbs were given the Gazivoda Lake opportunity to influence events in Kosovo in general. After all, for any kind of provocation they can commit revenge and disrupt the functioning of Kosovo's energy system, says political analyst Dragomir Andjelkovic. On the day when the deadline for forming Serbian municipalities, Albanians, was completed with [...]

In any case, writes “Vecernje Novosti”, in northern Kosovo, is calm, but notes a tense situation, but at least for the time being there is nothing for Gazivoda hydropower station or Valac substation. And that was the information that made headlines yesterday in Serbia.

Political analyst Dragomir Andjelkovic explains that Gazivoda has great strategic significance for both the Serbian and Albanian sides. For Serbs, because it enables the autonomous functioning of northern Kosovo in terms of energy, and for Albanians, without Gazivoda Kosovo's energy system and to some extent the supply of a number of cities can not work.

This gives Serbs the opportunity to influence events in Kosovo as a whole. After all, for any kind of provocation, revenge can be carried out, blocking the functioning of the Kosovo energy system”, says Andjelkovic for Sputnik. He believes that in the future, Albanians will try to take Gazivoda. The Albanian “Pala knows that circumstances in Europe are changing, that the right parties next year will receive the European Parliament and influence on the European Commission and under such circumstances will lose support...”, says Andjelkoviq.

The entire area of Gazivoda Lake is 20 percent in Serbia, and 80 percent in the territory of Zubin Potok, Kosovo. The production of electricity and drinking water from Lake Badovci in Pristina directly depends on Gazivoda. Belgrade is engaged to have the entire “Gazioda” complex, in the future to be under the control of the Serb municipal community and Zubin Potoku ) on whose territory the dam, hydropower plant and part of the lake are located, relying on EU practices to manage these resources.
