Saudis remember Canada's September 11 attacks, then apologise

A Saudi organization has apologised for publishing in “Titter” of a modified photo, showing a plane flying towards Toronto's top tower, “CN Tower”, interpreted as reference to the 11 September attacks due to escalating disputes between the two countries as a result of the Canadian government's call [...]
“Infoographic KSA”, a “Twitter” pro-government Saudi, distributed the view in question during Monday, just hours after the official Riyadi announced he had suspended new trade and investment agreements with Otawa.
With some 350,000 followers and top Saudi diplomatic figures, the account already erased from the social network was run by volunteers and managed by Saudi youths interested in technology and social media, according to the official website associated with it.
The image, showing a plane of “Air Canada” with its target sky-scraping in Toronto, quickly drew sharp criticism. Some saw that photo as a camouflaged reference to the 11 September attacks on the United States, which caused the death of 2,996 people after 19 jihadists took control of 4 aircraft to crash 3 of them over “twins” of the World Trade Centre and Pentagon. Fifteen of the jihadists were Saudi citizens.
