Osmani: Thaci is sharing political spectrum, LDK willing to lead dialogue

LDK MP Vjosa Osmani calls Kosovo President Hashim Thaci's statements divisive and unimpressive about the dialogue process with Serbia. She says the head of state is not playing the unifying role of the political spectrum, as at his frequent conferences, he is accusing the political spectrum, especially the opposition.

Kosovo Parliament's Foreign Affairs Commission Chairman in an interview for Kosovo The KP, it has said that partitioning Kosovo does not accept either EU and US countries, because it would then have a domino effect, especially for Macedonia and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The president has done this during his entire political career, has created divisions in Kosovo's political spectrum. Consequently, even now as president when it has the constitutional authority to unify citizens and political spectrum, it is doing the opposite, on groundless charges, the lies it is telling whether it is related to opposition parties, but above all for the Kosovo-Serbia-Serbia-x1> dialogue process, Osmani said.

For topics expected to be discussed in Brussels, according to her, the president must be honest with the country's citizens and show what the topics have been that he has talked to his Serbian counterpart at meetings he has held secretly and openly.

In fact, at numerous meetings with representatives of the international community, we have been shown that Vuqic has presented the idea of re-visiting borders to the table, namely, changing borders. However, the president has not openly indicated what his answer has been in relation to such Vuciki ideas. It is already known that the idea of changing borders, partitioning Kosovo has been primarily of Dobrica Qosiki, then supported by Milosevic, has been the idea that after 2000 other Serbian politicians have worked, and this is an idea in which Serbia has never given up and continues to do today through their foreign minister, but other politicians in Serbia to take something like this, not only to participate in the territory, but in particular to leave Kosovo without some of its important economic resources that are found in the north-of-country <44>, she stressed.

Osmani calls President Thaci's question to be unfair about citizens, if they are pro-uniting the Valley with Kosovo, because according to her, their opinion on the matter is clearly understood and no one would object.

In fact, the opening of new topics by President Thaci is due to Osman's fear of the head of state for the concessions he has already made.

The LDK MP says both the EU and the US want to have sustainable and implemented solutions from this process, none of which is reached with Thaci at the top of the dialogue.

According to her, two factors must be considered in order to have sustainable solutions for the region.

The first “has to do with the fact that changing borders in the Balkans will not end only with Kosovo and Serbia, if someone tries to do so. You have already seen the statements of other states in the region and we know this would have a domino effect on other states in particular for Macedonia and Bosnia. Let's not talk about other countries in the region, and this could go beyond the Balkans. So division on ethnic lines, realigning on ethnic lines has never been the right solution for the Balkans and unfortunately cannot be achieved peacefully. As for the second issue, which can be linked to some kind of autonomy or executive competence for association that would de facto imply autonomous, for everyone it should be clear that this solution is a delayed division, so it's not that it prevents partition, it simply delays”, said MEP Osmani.

She insists that partitioning Kosovo from which the north would be lost should not support any of the politicians in Kosovo.

Osmani says they cannot expect internationals to protect Kosovo from partition if Kosovo politicians themselves go to Brussels and opt for such solutions.

Why, according to her, the US stance has not changed over the breakup.

I believe that anyone who wants to find the clear answer to the US on this subject is enough to read the State Department statement, where it requires sustainable solutions and sustainable solutions. And so far American diplomats have made it clear that changing borders cannot be a sustainable solution, and the solution ending with agreement between Kosovo and Serbia”, she added.

Osman calls great hypocrisy the statements of the ruling parties that on one side oppose change of borders, until on the other, they do not join the opposition to stop the head of state in this venture that has entered.

As long as, there is fierce criticism of Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj for abstention and fleeing the constitutional responsibility he has to be the leader of the dialogue.

Not only did the president, who has no legitimacy and no political support, but, above all, has no constitutional competencies to lead this process, but did it unilaterally and violently, violently without mandated it. But even the current government has no legitimacy because it has only 52 votes due to the Serbian List's departure, and we have a situation I would say strange and unpredictable, where the country's prime minister voluntarily abstains from a constitutional competence that has it and says I don't want to lead the dialogue. If he is against dialogue as a tool for resolving problems, he should be declared. But a prime minister cannot choose which authority he likes, which he does not, says I am managing the budget, in fact misuse the budget for the inside because it is fitting for me and my friends, while the president does whatever he wants in Brooks I”, Osmani said.

While talking about the LDK's stance, about dialogue, MEP Osmani said it would not change attitude against, because neither that government nor President Thaci have legitimacy for this process.

According to her, Thaci does not have a mandate that the Parliament has given him, and on the other hand, the Government does not have the numbers.

It expresses the LDK's readiness to lead the dialogue, but this is after early elections and the legitimacy of the new government.

I want to inform you that this position has been unanimously taken in the parliamentary group has been voted, there has been no vote against, it is a position that has been taken in office, and there is no reason for this stance to change. We have almost daily meetings with international representatives, visiting abroad where we discuss this topic in the main capital. Of course, their wish is to have the political spectrum unified on this topic, that's our wish as well, but current circumstances are preventing the unification of the political spectrum”, Osmani said.

Osmani says the Assembly cannot draw a platform for dialogue, because it belongs to the Government, not the legislature.
