The mother who tried to kill the two little girls: We'd rather die than leave them on the way

The 42-year-old woman Rudina Kishta, who attempted to drown her two little daughters, has appeared yesterday at the Fieri Court for the measure of security. I took revenge on my husband. He made my life miserable. He raped me and the girls. I had run away from him several times, but he came and took me [...]

That's what the 42-year-old court said. It is charged with “murder due to family circumstances”, remaining attempted and “destruction of fire property”. The prosecutor of the case called for a prison arrest measure for the 42-year-old, which was also considered by Judge Taulant Banushi.

It has been protected by a lawyer appointed by the Court, who has demanded an easier measure. But the court did not consider the defense request, leaving the woman in prison. At yesterday's session no family member was seen.

Rudina was apparently abandoned by all her relatives after the action she had performed in her co-existence village. Nor has the latter appeared in court, which 42-year-olds accused of being a bully and triggerer who had led her towards this extreme act. What was more than visible was her humble appearance, with the gray hairs of an 80-year-old and a tooth in her mouth.

While in the courtroom awaiting the arrival of the court, Rudina has not hesitated to answer the questions of journalists who had attended the hearing.

According to Panorama, at first she made an effort to cover her face with a white letter, but further among the cameras and successive questions, she was forced to respond in an attempt to defend herself.

You are accused of intentional fire... Did you do this?

Yeah, I did. I did it because I'm sick of it. I was living bad. He took me and locked me in there. When I told her I wanted to go to my family, she said right. But it didn't come until it got dark. So I did it.

Why would you kill two minor girls?

That I had nowhere to leave them. What about them? Those are my girls, who loves them more than I do? Life had become difficult for us because he violated my daughters and me. When I thought I'd go to jail, I thought we'd all die rather than leave them on the road. This country's not here to see where I live, there's nothing at home. I've run away from home a few times.

Did Ardian rape you?

Many times. He was a drunkard and beat my daughters too. He couldn't bear it. My parents returned to him on Sunday. But he kept going. I'm a man. She ran away every day, drank drunk, and then violated us. He didn't do anything for the house. How is the house kept in words and drinking in the village? There was nothing in it, nothing to eat. I'm bored.

Is that why you asked him to bring you back to your parents?

Yeah. I saw that nothing had changed. He lied when he said I changed. He was drunk and aggressive. I'm crazy about this life with him. I was very hopeless, among four streets with my two daughters.

Now that you've made things worse, how do you feel?

Better jail than that.
