Kosovo Government Identifies, Association Project moves directly to Brussels

Political analysts in Kosovo consider this situation absurd, while in the Government of Kosovo say that following the handover of the document in Brussels, the Kosovo side will be cooled too.

The Kosovo government has not yet been handed over to the draft Asociation Status of Serb majority municipalities, as it was before. They have not yet accepted an invitation to meet there.

The government of the Republic of Kosovo has not accepted any documents on the part of the management team, which could be called a draft Association statute. This document is sent to Brussels, where the Kosovo side will be invited. Currently, we have not accepted a document or an invitation to a” meeting, Gashi says.

August 4th was the last date when the management team had to submit the draft for Association.

But, the management team has decided to send it to Brussels and Kosovo executive to give it only to the chip.

With the document being sent to Brussels initially and not to the Government of Kosovo, according to analyst Imer Mushkolaj, it shows that the creation of association will take place under the Brussels agreement, namely executive competence.

According to him, it is absurd for the draft to be sent to Brussels before going to Kosovo institutions.

“It is absurd that the draft of the association statute is sent to Brussels before it goes to Kosovo institutions, and, to the worse, Kosovo institutions -- in this case, the Government -- will only receive the processes from Brussels. So this tells us that association will not be an NGO, as those who signed the agreement have said for years, but will unfortunately be an institution with executive competence that means an autonomy for the country's north. And this is therefore dangerous considering that an autonomy for the country's north will defunct the state of Kosovo”, he says.

We remember that the management team that was created for drafting the AKS statute in its composition has only members of the Serb community.

His work began in April of this year.

The formation of the Serb Major Serb Commission Association has emerged from the Kosovo-Serbia agreement with European Union mediation. And in these talks, the issue was every key to Serbian institutional representatives.

We remember that the manager's team for drafting the draft statute had delivered the process to the Government of Kosovo, but that it was all in the Cyrillic alphabet. So the prime minister's office had turned him back.

Now, after surrendering to Brussels, the chip is expected to be handed over to the Ministry of Administration and Local Power and, after translation, to the prime minister's office.
