The company for power distribution in Kosovo, KEDS, has placed new tratrusions in the village of Dobratin in the Podujevo municipality, including 200 houses on the new electricity network.
This was made known through a KED media report.
The “Investing in the village of Dobratin of Podujevo, performed by KEDS, is expected to significantly improve the power supply for this part. Among other things, KEDS has made the construction of three new transfosions with power of up to 250 kVA and the low-tensive tension network of over 6 km”.
In addition, this company says it has completed building the cable channel for low tension for locking consumers, as well as building a long range of over four kilometers.
According to KED officials, this investment has been necessary, since the existing network has been outdated and in serious condition.
spokesperson Viktor Buzhala says the completed project will benefit about 200 houses in the area. “These investments have been made under projects the KED is implementing throughout Kosovo to expand and strengthen the power grid. 195 homes will benefit only from this investment,” said Buzhala.
This will affect ensuring energy stability, reducing net losses, but also enhances security for citizens on this side, since the existing network has been outdated and damaged,” he added.
The electric poles in this village have been wood and rotten, resulting in danger for nearby citizens, Buzhala explains.
KEDS is investing in all of Kosovo to strengthen and expand the power grid.
