Harxhi: Territorial Exchange with Serbia to kill Albanians

Experienced diplomats, Albania's former deputy foreign minister and director of the Albanian Police Center once spoke of Fax News on the matter.

For me, this news is very disturbing, as it started several months ago with an idea for partitioning Kosovo, then for the possibility of exchange of territories, and then it went to the third thesis that was launched, which was a very big deal. All this shows is that there is an initiative by someone to make a big deal, which will not be quality but quantitative, that will not physically affect borders not just ethnicities.

I have come up against it for two reasons, as it will kill Albanians. Any idea of changing territories is a murderous idea. We Albanians will be the biggest losers. I've even made a call to Twitter where I tell Albanians to wake up, as there will be interethnic and border problems.

And second, Albanians cannot exchange Albanian territories for Albanian territories. What has been talked about in Mitrovica's exchange. This is all about the exchange of half of Mitrovica, Zubin Potok, Leposaviqi and Zvecan, which is three and a half municipalities -- the northern part with the eastern part of Kosovo that is the Presevo Valley.

Presevo Valley is not alone as Presevo, there are three municipalities: Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja, two of which have been completely decommunated by Albanians.

On the other hand, we remember that throughout the Presevo Valley, there is a population contraction, and this population has been done with a clear strategy plan from Serbia, some years old, that we would reach such a point where we are and today. For me this is news of omens, in the last 100 years, partition of Kosovo or exchange of” territories.

How did Thaci comment?

As for part of President Thaci's statement of border corrections, it's fair to me too. That means receiving Albanian territories which are already part of Serbia. But I don't know how honest President Thaci is with what he said. In fact, it is up to Albanians to take their territories, the rest of them from the conference in London, or even before, at the Berlin Congress, or even the Treaty of St. Stefan. These are contracting Albanian territories, which have contracted on the basis of genocide. So they can't trade for providing Albanian territories for another one. ”

What does Kosovo lose?

Kosovo loses large underground resources. Gazivoda, the largest collectors and thus Kosovo will remain without water. Then it will only work with Radonic Lake, which is in Gjakova. The Trepca mine is also lost, and the mineral mine, which remains in Serbia. If these remain on Serbian territory, they are automatically lost.

US responses, how are you seen?

I have no information, it's a scenario supported by the Russians. I don't think the U.S. supports this scenario if you know.

The U.S. is sure they don't allow that, they're worried about it. I am sure that in the last talks discussed in Helsinki between Putin and Trump, it has not been discussed about Kosovo. There is no signal that says to counter the US adopt such a project, to correct borders, or exchange them. ”
