Wednesday afternoon, the US Treasury Department imposed sanctions on two Turkish officials, namely Justice and Interior Minister.
This step came after Turkey has not yet set American pastor Andrew free Brunson, who has recently passed into house arrest and expects to face charges of supporting the coup organisation.
For sanctions against Turkish officials, Erdogan's cabinet minister, as well as his son-in-law, Berat Albayrak, reacted.
At a press conference, Albayrak criticised the US side's decision, but guaranteed that the economic impact of these sanctions would be almost insignificant, tch follows.
“Turkey seeks to resolve the issue with Washington, using dialogue and diplomacy. These sanctions are unacceptable, but I guarantee that their economic impact will be negligible”, Albayrak said.
