The director of the so-called Office for Kosovo, Marko Djurovic, said today that Albanian Diaspore Minister Pandeli Majko's statement that the border between Albania and Kosovo will be opened on January 1st is not serious and irresponsible, and that it serves only to further exacerbate relations in the region.
“Enver Hoxha has died and from Greater Albania there is and there will be nothing. Kosovo and Albania have no borders, but the limit between Serbia and Albania is 111km long”, Djuric said.
Albania's Diaspora Minister Pandeli Majko told Kosovars last night that from January 1st there will be no border between Kosovo and Albania. That statement was issued in Skenderaj during a manifestation dedicated to the exiles.
Majko stressed that Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama has made the decision in question, and on January 1st there will be no border between the two states.
“Must open the border between Albania and Kosovo, the prime minister told us he has made the decision, on January 1st the free movement between Albania and Kosovo”, Majko said last night.
