Venezuelan officials said that last night's attack on Maduro, where seven people were injured, was carried out by pilotless butterflies, which erupted in the vicinity while giving a speech at the Qaeda military manifesto that was broadcast live on television.
Bolton told Fox News that the American government in no way is involved in this event and that the explosion could be the work of the Maduro regime itself.
Venezuela's leader has not blamed the US for the attack, but Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos said inspirers and sponsors of the attack live in Florida. Maduro called on President Trump to arrest terrorists responsible for the assassination, to which Bolton responded today.
If Venezuela's Government has convincing information, which it wants to share with us and which would testify to the possibility of breaking the law in the US, we would take them seriously”, he said.
