Kosovo President Hashim Thaci's idea of partition, exchange or correction of borders, which is not being accepted and is not supported by the political spectrum in Kosovo, too much criticism is being received by internationals.
There are even those who consider the idea to be dangerous and who did not bring lasting situations.
The diplomatic missions of Kosovo's friendly countries appreciate this too.
Croatia's embassy in a response to Frontal has said dividing the territory would bring destabilisation to the region.
“We do not believe any border changes would make the region more stable. Rather, it would set precedents that could cause additional problems rather than solutions. Finally, there would surely be destabilizing effects in the wider regional framework”
From the Brussels table, internationals with missions in Kosovo expect rapid progress in the process.
“We strongly support dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia assisted by the EU and we hope in a rapid progress in the process. “
The dialogue that developed since 2011 was the process that brought a lot of agreements and that very few of them found application in Kosovo. Many MPs even describe the dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia as in favour of the latter.
But what's expected from the mediators of this dialogue is to end with an inclusive agreement.
The Croatian State Embassy has said that the comprehensive agreement should strengthen regional stability and normalise relations in behalf of all citizens.
German Chancellor Angela Merkel delivered the same message in May this year in the presence of Kosovo's leader.
She stressed that the agreements reached between Kosovo and Serbia must be implemented.
