The Burden of Suhareka Floods

In the city of Suhareka, rainfall has caused severe flooding in almost every village.

This is also evident in some photos published on social media. To help the citizens of Suhareka, emergency teams from municipalities and police officials have also been seen on the ground.

Suhareka Mayor Bali Muharremaj on Facebook wrote that all mechanisms are working to improve the situation.

The city and many villages spent the night in anguish from the floods. However, we were fortunate that our losses were only material. I thank the citizens, firefighters, policemen, and all other emergency teams that together until the morning hours we stayed to get through this. Municipal institutions will operate with all mechanisms to return to normality”, Muharremaj wrote.

Rainfalls during these days will occur throughout Kosovo.
