This, the Union of Independent Trade Unions of Kosovo, is calling it alarming.
Unfriendly working conditions, lack of proper tools for work, health insurance problems, are just some of the problems workers in Kosovo are facing.
Avni Aydin, chairman of BSPK, says there should be an indictment when cases end with fatality instead of work, and not just symbolic fines for private companies.
He has criticised the Labour Inspectorate for not doing more about rights and improving working conditions for workers, particularly those in the construction sector.
According to BSPK chairman, the Labour Inspectorate is not providing adequate penalties, as it fears the authorities.
But the Labour Inspectorate says otherwise.
Job Chief Inspector Basri Ibrahimi complains that they have few inspectors asking for that number to increase.
In Kosovo, numerous cases of workers who die at the workplace have been added, as a result of unfriendly working conditions, meanwhile, the Labour Inspectorate only during the 7th month of 2018, out of the 5700 inspections made, has fined 169 private and public companies, KTV reports.
The biggest punishment the Labour Inspectorate has imposed on companies that have violated the law is 118 thousand euros.
