Alcohol and disease lead to death

A new study in America suggests that alcohol consumption can often make people with HIV worse.

The effects of alcohol may be more pronounced in people with HIV, but even in people who have a disease afflicted by ARV therapy, Kosova Preris broadcasts.

Research has stressed that HIV patients who consume at least one or two alcoholic beverages each day have a greater risk of death and other health problems.

The study included HIV-treated patients between 2008 and 2012, there have been more than 18,000 positive HIV patients and over 42,000 people without infections. The relationship between alcohol, developing other health problems, besides HIV and mortality, has been investigated.

The conclusion of the study is that people with HIV should not consume alcohol at all. It has been estimated that the safe threshold of alcohol consumption for people with HIV is much lower than those that are not infected.
