On the list of the elite military unit “Ujqit” there is no Albanian name found, even despite successive promises of Albanian officials, for worthy representation in defence of the state.
Deputy Defence Minister Bekim Maxuti, who mentions the absence of Albanian youth soldiers presented in selective contests, acknowledges this impasse. He says they have already reached political agreements that, with the new structure of units for special operations, Albanians will be represented in the appropriate percentage in the <x0-Wyks unit”.
Regimetin for special operations, with the new structure going to break down and we'll create two new battalions. There have already been officers, deputy officers and Albanian soldiers in one battalion, but unfortunately we have not reached an agreement so far to have just representation and adequate in the Wolve battalion. From this moment on, I would have wanted to appeal to all young people, especially to soldiers to appear in selective contests so that we could have enough of a measure because we have a political achievement for this process as well, so that in the future we can get as good a chance as possible to get them into even the Union of wolves, and this shouldn't be a closed door for Albanians, Bekim Maksui said Deputy Defence Minister.
General Muhamet Racaj says the only obstacle of the Albanian absence of the special “Ujqit” is the political agreement between the Macedonian bloc's and Albanian ruling parties. According to him, there are many capable Albanian soldiers who do not win adequate progress only because of ethnic affiliation, Alsat M broadcasts.
There are no Albanians there because there are certain rules and some political and political obstacles that someone there does not want to have Albanians. But even the atmosphere that was created in that entity is that there is no Albanian. It's essentially a method with special units where if your colleague doesn't accept you and he doesn't trust you to be on their team, then you can't be accepted. The atmosphere in the Wolfes Special Unit is such that Albanians are not accepted - said General Muhamet Racaj.
But are Albanians capable of being part of this group?
Albanians are, have been, and will be able to participate. It just takes political decision.
At special unit “Rangers” Albanians are represented by just 0.3 %s, while in the “unit Scorpions” also has a very small number of Albanians. The discrimination continues on when at today's central ceremony of Macedonia's Army Day, the order was given to advance more than 10 superiors in higher officers' acts, but no Albanian name was heard here as well.
