Eurostat has published statistics on the meat price index in 2017 for all European Union member states, candidate countries and potential candidates.
Albania ranks last in price level, where meat costs about 45% that the average of European countries (EU=100).
Compared to Western Balkan countries, the rate of meat prices is cheaper. After Albania, Macedonia ranks for free prices, where meat costs about 42% cheaper than in European Union countries.
While more expensive meat costs in Kosovo, the price is about 13% more expensive than in Albania. Secondly for expensive price rates in the Western Balkans is Montenegro and Bosnia, where the price of meat is about 12% more expensive than in Albania.
It then ranks Serbia, where meat is about 9% more expensive than in Albania.
More Expensive Switzerland
Meat costs more expensive in Switzerland, where prices are 2.4 times more expensive than in the rest of Europe. According to Eurostat data, the price rate is largely more expensive in northern European countries such as Iceland, Norway and Luxembourg.
