O The RCA has presented today an analysis for retirement of academic staff at the University of Pristina, specifically regular professors who do not justify their academic titles.
This analysis comes as further detailing from data collected from the December 2017 report, titled “The Academical Integrity of Professors at Pristina University” published by ORCA.
The report says that 72 percent of professors do not justify their academic titles from the aspect of scientific works needed for respective titles.
O The RCA has raised concern over the case of 122 regular professors, who hold the highest academic title and therefore contract indefinitely.
“From 122 regular professors who do not justify their academic titles, 36 are supposed to retire in 2018, but so far have only retired 16. The last regular professor not to justify his title will retire in 2036. This means that children who are currently 3-year-olds will be able to get involved in their degree themes at the Bachelor level at this professor; children currently five years old will be able to learn at the master level from the same professor; in the meantime, one of the currently 10-year-old children may have the chance to be educated in doctorate by the professor in question of”, the communique says.
