The central celebration took place at the city park in Skopje, attended by the head of diplomacy, Nikola Dimitrov, senior diplomats and members of political parties.
Prime Minister Zoran Zaev, who was in Manastir, noted that Macedonia has a reason to celebrate, saying it should give up divisions and at the same time urged the opposition to join the country's aspirations for EU and NATO membership.
VMRO DPMNE criticised the government, urging it to publish how much money it has spent on organising them.
Through a statement from the LSDM, they demanded that VMRO DPMNE ban the creation of disputes and hatred for citizens and musicians. The statement said whether he liked V MRO- DPMNE or not, citizens strongly supported Macedonia's integration into NATO and the EU.
Macedonia's government announced that the entire amount of money spent on the celebration will be announced in the coming days.
