Court and Prosecutor administration workers today have entered on the second day of the strike.
Kosovo's court and prosecutorial workers have launched a general strike yesterday with the requirement for salary hikes.
The strike comes a few weeks after the government has made a decision to raise salaries to 100 %s for members of the government cabinet and other senior government officials.
The decision automatically benefits even Kosovo judges and prosecutors, since the law in Kosovo stipulates a judge and prosecutor's salary as much as a minister.
Naim Shala for Calxo. com said that during today those hearings were pre-emptive to hold more than 100 trials, but that because of the workers' strike those sessions were not held.
During yesterday as a result of the strike, nearly 100 court hearings have been postponed.
Despite yesterday's day, the parties are allowed to enter the Court and Prosecutor.
The head of the Pristina Foundation Court, Aferdita Bytyci today, has held a meeting with representatives of the strike council from which she has asked that they do not violate the law on strike, that by strikers has demanded that, in addition to cases of domestic violence and other cases of detention and other priorities, such as cases aimed at visa liberalisation be held normally.
After meeting with the head of the Pristina Foundation Court, Chairman of the Grevist Council Naim Shala has held a meeting even with the striker workers from whom he has asked not to close the court's door and to allow the parties to enter into court and prosecutorial spaces, as well as subjects that are targeted for visa liberalisation.
He said that none of their demands have been met so far, he warned that the strike would continue until the fulfillment of all their demands.
As a result of the strike by administration workers, two sessions that are targeted for visa liberalisation have been postponed yesterday and today.
