In the Serbian Presidency communiqué, which was launched after the meeting of the two officials in Belgrade, no statement by Suriname's minister was quoted on the issue, reports Balkan Radio Free Europe Service.
“Failure to intervene in other countries' internal affairs and autonomy in bringing decisions speak of the independent and principled policy of Suriname”, Vuciq said.
Serbian media and officials have reported since October last year that Suriname has attracted Kosovo's recognition.
Officials in Pristina have said they have no official announcement on the issue.
Kosovo's Foreign Ministry website features 116 recognitions, including the Republic of Suriname.
