Thaci: We'll maintain our special relationship with the United States.

According to him, 4 July is always a special and emotional event for Kosovo citizens.

In a Facebook post, Thaci has reconfirmed Kosovo's commitment to maintaining special relations with the US.

In Kosovo, celebrating July 4th, US Independence Day, is always a special and emotional event. So it has been, so it is now and will remain forever because our freedom, our values, are incarnated with those of the American people.

The American model built on individual freedom, coexistence between peoples and communities, division of governments and accountability, rule of order and law are also values that we build and promote in Kosovo.

We express our gratitude by working for peace, good neighborhood as necessary preconditions for Euro-Atlantic integration.

On behalf of the citizens of the Republic of Kosovo I congratulate the American people on Independence Day and reconfirm our pledge to preserve our special relations with the United States of America, our permanent friendship and our alliance on the values and principles that unite us”, Thaci wrote
