According to the Daily Mail, women need about 20 more minutes of sleep!
Professor Jim Horne, director of the Sleep Research Center at Lowborough University and author of” Sleepfaring: A Journey Through The Science of Sleep” says: “A major sleep function is to allow the brain to repair itself. During deep sleep, the brain skin, the part responsible for memory, thought, language, and so on, is cut off from the senses and renewed. ”
The more you use your “ ” your brain during the day, the more it will need to rest. That's exactly what the key argument is!
Women tend to be “emulating” so to perform certain tasks simultaneously, not characteristic of men. Because of this, their need for sleep is greater.
Another study showed that women also tend to suffer more health problems resulting from sleep deprivation or poor quality compared with men.
Edward Suwarez, an associate professor in the department of psychiatry and behavioral sciences and the lead author of the study, says:
“We have discovered that poor sleep quality is closely linked to high levels of psychological distress and depression. Women who deprive themselves of full hours of sleep are also the most endangered of cardiovascular diseases. “
