In fact, there is no problem staying close to cats as long as they're vaccinated and no parasites.
The problem is cleaning up the place where the cat defects.
This is because the cat's trunk can carry a parasitic infection called toxoplasmosis.
If you are infected by this parasite during pregnancy or even months before conception, it can cause many birth defects in your baby especially in the development of his eyes and brain.
The parasite can be taken either way, so if you pollute your hand with it and then touch your mouth, then you can get infected. So it's good to leave it to someone else.
But if you're the only person who can clear out the place where your cat defects you make sure you clean it every day after the parasite doesn't get infected until 24 hours ago.

If you are concerned that you may already be infected by this parasite, you should immediately inform your doctor and run some blood tests to see if you are immune to the disease.
If you've been infected before by this parasite, your immune system has found a way to protect yourself against it and you have nothing to worry about, but if you haven't gained immunity your doctor will recommend the drugs needed to minimize the effects of the disease.
