Brussels journalist Augustin Palocaj has written on the very issue of visa liberalisation, in a newspaper published at the Time portal, writes Periscopi.
He has said that despite the assessment that turned out to be good just a few minutes ago, visas will not be lifted because it has passed the deadline and there is no longer the possibility of “being voted into the European Parliament by mid-September”. He says Kosovo politicians have had to express disappointment on this issue, not warn “good news”.
According to Palockaj, it can be seen with certainty that visa liberalisation for Kosovo will not happen this year. It raises questions that it could happen even in the coming year, Periscopi broadcasts.
According to him, EU diplomats are as disappointed as if they could restore the visa regime for Albania and Serbia as much as to remove Kosovo”.
