Norwegian Prime Minister Erna Solberg said Serbia and Kosovo will benefit greatly from normalising relations.
She believes the current situation creates instability in the region and turns the two countries back.
Solberg, who visits Belgrade tomorrow, told the Serbian newspaper '%s', that the sustainable solution for Kosovo will ensure a better standard of living and opportunity for citizens and both states.
“Of course, the obligations undertaken must be met, but some of them are interpreted differently in Serbia and Kosovo, so it is important to continue negotiations under the auspices of the European Union”, she said. Solberg estimates that the model of co-operation created by Scandinavian countries after World War II is possible even in the Balkans, while remembering that co-operation began with the establishment of the Scandinavian labour market, avoiding topics from so-called high policies and conflicts from the past.
“U focused our attention on improving the lives of our nations in the future, which was a recipe for the success of Scandinavian co-operation, and I think it would be effective in the Balkans too”, says Norway's prime minister.
