Petritsch: Kosovo testing EU patience

Austrian diplomat Wolfgang Petritsch in an exclusive interview for the <x0 show. Info Magazine” has stressed that Kosovo has nothing to do with Brussels.

According to him, Kosovo is testing the limits of European Union patience.

“Speaking to several people from Brussels who recently held an annual meeting in Vienna of the European Council for Foreign Affairs, and Brussels officials are very concerned. You can see that Kosovo is now testing the limits of patience for the European Union. You cannot continue this forever”, the former EU Special Representative for Kosovo said.

Other than that, Petritsch stressed that the five EU non-recognising states are even further from Kosovo's accession, according to him, than a year ago.

Let me tell you something. The five European Union member states that are non-recognitional countries for Kosovo, and I am in constant contact with officials with these countries, and they have left further to accept Kosovo than they were a year ago, or a year and a half ago. This is a bad sign for Kosovo”, he said.

The diplomat stressed the hope that Kosovo should have a president/one who really thinks about supporting Kosovo and its people.
