The Kosovo Security Force is expected to open competitions for completing the countries left empty by Serb members of this force, who the previous week abandoned its ranks.
Deputy Minister of the Kosovo Security Force Agim Ceku told Radio Free Europe that the Kosovo Security Force is a professional organisation voluntarily introduced.
“In KSF signed contracts for service at KSF. They're preemptive of the rules for breaking the contract and we've broken the contract with a number of our members coming from the Serb community. We are very sorry for them”, Ceku said.

The removal of Serb members from the Security Force followed the pressures exerted on them by official Belgrade. Authorities in Belgrade say they will engage to prevent the formation of the Kosovo Army.
The Kosovo Security Force, according to political positions in Pristina, is expected to be transformed into the Kosovo Armed Forces in the future.
