Critics have said the law, which is expected to be voted this week, can ban photos with ridiculous content and may require platforms to pay for access to the news.
Editors themselves wrote that “Wikipedia may be at risk of closing”.
“If the proposal is approved, it may be impossible to distribute any newspaper articles on social networks or to be found in internet research, it is said in the report.
English - language page users have not been banned from use, but they too have received announcements and have been called on to contact their European representatives before the vote.
Wikipedia is the fifth page with mostly traffic on the Internet, the website Alexa reported.
Articles 11 and 13 have been sharply criticised under new rules.
Article 13 has been named many contradictions, asking the pages to rough up copyrights even when published by themselves.
Critics believe this would imply that all social networks would have to prove any published content, almost impossible task for users.
