Haradinaj: If visas are delayed by autumn, it will be harder

Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj has expressed optimism about visa liberalisation for Kosovo citizens as the last country in the region to not enjoy this right, but has failed to provide any exact date by saying this could be the latest in October, or at the end of this year. He [...]
He made these comments at a media conference after returning from the London Summit, at which he had several important meetings with European state officials, with whom he discussed security, economic and political topics.
“Yes, yes, yes. Look, the war's over for weeks and the weeks are in question. Why? If we could have passed it by the Parliament's recommendation committee right now, we could have caught it at the parliamentary hearings before the summer break, that's my biggest concern... If we are pushed to fall, a little harder is then, because the electoral climate in the EU is also coming in, and the whole hope is not to lose” in the week, Haradinaj said.
Speaking about forming the negotiating team for the latest phase of dialogue with Serbia, Haradinaj said that part of this team should be opposition parties as well.
Kosovo's “representation must occur through institutions, it is surprising the London Summit case. Now we can't get out of that summit on another formula, not institutional is beautiful, don't get us friends or understand us. For this I have long called on opposition political parties to support Kosovo, their families, their children and for Kosovo to carry out the important topic of dialogue. I think it's a better climate now than any consultation we've been able to make. Kosovo is represented by the country's institutions, to which the president is led, at the same time parliamentary parties are needed, both the LDK, PSD and Vetevendosje are necessary”, Haradinaj has said.
He has also talked about today's meeting with President Thaci and Prime Minister Veselin, who has informed them of the London summit and bilateral meetings, saying all of this is part of the co-ordination of Kosovo institutions.
